Work gets in the way!

So, here I am telling you that I was going to have more pictures up soon, and alas I didn't. Got a new job, weather was horrible and excuses, excuses. Well, today I felt a little creativity coming on, so here I am. 
This is a ballerina in the making.

oops!!!

I know how sad, two weeks into this and already I skip a week!! lol I was sick...my excuse, plus my blog, so I can do whatever I want...so there! haha  I will get back on target... expect some pictures tomorrow!!

Up close and personal!

What a week I choose to start this off! Bad allergies, and bad weather, thunderstorms, then I have car trouble. Whew, I did it...no turning back now. After the little one went to bed, I set up a mini-studio, haha lights. With my camera in hand I took a few close-ups with my Macro lens...I just love that lens, one of my best buys. Ah, the problem with macro....you see all the dirt, lint, and fingerprints! alas I picked ones I thought had the most contrast and depth...qualities I like in my photos.

Both of these pictures are bracelets that I made.

We were finnaly able to make it to the zoo, only it was a last minute decision and I did not have my SLR with me. I took these with my Powershot (I try to carry it where ever I go).

I think this was the hardest. I put a lot of pressure on myself on what the first pictures were going to be. Haha, silly since I'm the boss of my blog and anything goes, right? Well, I'm feeling the the shutter button finger itching, so this ought to be a fun week!

Here We go!!

I love to take pictures or should I say I love taking photographs. Is there a difference between them? I mean when I say pictures I think of snapshots and when thinking of photographs there is a little something more than a snapshot, they are images, thought provoking, right? I'm not a professional photographer in any way. I do know a little about taking a photo.

I started this blog as a way to keep me up with taking photos, setting a goal for myself. I become too, intrapped in everyday life that I need this goal to step back to do something I love. Isn't it sad that we must set aside time that is just for us. Well, I'm doing it! And it's about time!


My plan: Every Sunday evening I am submitting at least one photo to my blog. I am giving myself a week to take photos, edit and upload to this page. I will also include how it was that I came up with the photos and any problems and difficulties I encountered (read life). I am not much of a writer, so you have to bear with me! I am starting this at the middle of this week so, I haven't given myself much time to start out with did I? Oh, well, we got to start somewhere!
